This confidently painted pastel uses bold strokes of color applied freely. The sentinel rocks emerge from their blanket of snow and reach up piercing the azure sky. Beneath the peaks and snow the deep green and purple trees are washed in with calligraphic strokes of color. Rock shadows are deep blue and shadows on snow are light blue.
