ainted on a mauve colored paper, this winter pastel shows a sunset on Lake Mahkeenac. Due to the rough texture of the paper, bits of mauve peeks through the snow and the sky. Mostly all white, this painting has dark accents of green for the evergreen trees and some bluish purple for the shadows on the snow. The sunset is reflected in the frozen surface of the lake.
