Artist's Description
The spectacular view of Lake Mahkeenac is beautiful in mid-October when I teach Painting and Yoga in the Berkshires; when the trees are turning every color in the rainbow. The three trees on the right hand side of the painting are called the lollypop trees and they never fail to delight us with their outrageous autumn colors. In this painting the strokes are very excited and the color of the paper peeks through the pastel further giving the feeling of the wind in the trees. Strong shadows enhance the bright sunlight on the grass.
